That’s exactly how most of us started, and why we are so passionate about SeventhSound. So we created a comfortable place to learn, with content that’s digestible and practical enough to use right away. Teaching foundational principles that work on everything from your grandpa’s analog console to the newest digital one on the market.

Meet the Founder
Thomas A. Bell III
I started my live audio journey as a freshman in high school. Our church was putting together a youth band, and I couldn’t play an instrument or make a joyful noise unto the Lord, but I was always curious about tech, and the position was open. I volunteered thinking I’d get some level of training. Instead, like many, I was left figuring things out on my own.
I was able to make it work, but I never really understood what was going on behind what I was doing. It wasn’t until nearly five years later that I received my first formal training. The biggest takeaway: while YouTube is a great resource, a mentor or coach is invaluable — not just for correcting mistakes before they get ingrained, but for the kind of honest feedback that actually accelerates growth.
For years I was the only person trusted to run things. That felt good — until I joined the military and suddenly there was nobody to fill my position. I never wanted to leave that kind of gap again. So I made it my mission to break that cycle: to make it easier for anyone who just wants to serve to learn a very daunting skill, mix confidently, and show up consistently.
